I haven’t written a personal post in a long time (or ever let’s be honest) so I figured I’d share one today: why I love to run. This is a picture of my great uncle, Johnny Kelley, finishing his last Boston Marathon at the age of 82. He was known as Boston’s “Marathon Man” after running the Boston Marathon 60+ times and winning twice. While I didn’t really know him personally (I have a HUGE family), I am proud to call him a part of my family and not just because he was a champion, but also because of his philosophy on life. The stories my grandmother has told me about him and what my dad has to say speaks volumes. He believed that the best way to live your life and to run was to always “put one foot in front of the next.” I have tried to live my life in this way by always living in the moment and not stressing out too much about the future. He lived to be 97 and I strongly believe it was because of his views on life. Johnny made an impact on me and I hope he does to all of you too.

no but seriously guys this dude is a fucking CHAMP he went to the olympics and everything and he’s also just a pretty cool dude all around (i may be biased but hey he’s still awesome)
